Voices against Modi's misrule are brewing - A report of the meeting held by Center for Peace and Progress

[Bismillahnews.in-02-10-15-New Delhi-Sohail Siddiqui] I had gone to IIC on the invitation of Mr. OP Shah president Center for Peace and Progress for a discussion on " Desirability & feasibility of National Consensus on Major issues".

The meeting ended with a warm note of thanks by Prof.Bhan expressing her grave concern at the existing "secularism" in the country...she condemned the barbaric killing in Greater Noida for allegedly eating beef. She wanted secularism to seen and implemented in the country for that she suggested that entire period of 67 years post Independence needs to be corrected and words like secularism to be redefined, she stressed the entire system has failed and needs to changed.... may be constitution rewritten to deliver.

Earlier initiating the discussion Mr.OP Shah president of Center for Peace and Progress invited Senior Congress leader and spokesman Mr.Mani Shankar Aiyyar MP to express his views on the subject.Mani Shankar Aiyyar initiating the debate made it clear that their cannot be any Consensus between the ideologies of BJP and Congress...and Consensus in a democracy why ?.He specifically gave details how BJP has avoided consensus and tried to manipulate/bulldoze its will in the parliament on issues of land bill and GST by making changes in original bills detrimental to the common man, which has forced Congress to oppose them, while congresses cooperation has got maximum numbers of bills passed in last six months compared to Last six months rule of UPA,an example of responsible opposition. He mentioned specifically the Insurance bill, while came down heavily on BJP for its negative role during UPA rule.He said Modi government is working for a handful of Industrialist for whom this land bill has been brought to facilitate them with free land.Mani Shankar Aiyyar came down heavily on the divisive/ communal agenda of Modi government and expressed his gravest concern at the killing of some one for eating a normal food according to his culture that too on the day of Eid.

The second speaker was Mr.Dinesh Trivedi MP from Trinamool Congress who defended that in the interest of the Nation's development consensus should be arrived at between political parties. The third speaker Prof Anant Kumar former AAP and now Swaraj Movement leader also stressed on the threats of corporate control of political and social space of Indians during Modi rule.He too expressed his apprehension on the policies of the government regarding minorities. The fourth speaker was Ashish Khetan member of AAP government in Delhi, surprisingly he found nothing wrong in the speeches of Modi as PM and other Indian prime-ministers ? He too stressed on the guard against the fringe elements of the Hindutva brigade who vitiate the social fabric and development of the country. The fifth speaker was dynasty representative from the IFS a former ambassador to Sri Lanka, a former member of BJP's intellectual cell... Mr.Jha who gave a candid view of the lower class government servants being the biggest hurdle in the progress of the Nation. He too wanted consensus in the interest of the "Nation".

Other notably speaker was Justice Rajinder Sachhar who lamblasted the Modi government for the divisive agenda and included all political parties for not being serious and fair in doing justice to minorities.

At the end of the discussion the speakers answered the questions of the audience. Many were of the opinion since their is no difference between the present government and the earlier governments on "issues" why a consensus on "National issues" is required ?

Replying to this Mani Shankar Aiyyar said that he is not saying but many have suggested here that already their is so much common why a consensus ? He hinted at the unspoken and unwritten agreement between UPA and NDA on issue's "internal and external security" and conceded against his earlier stand that consensus was alien in democracy.

This writer had participated in the discussion as an observer to keep abreast about what is going on in the National political parties after the 17 months rule by Modi government. To my disappointment except Prof.Bhan and Prof.Anant Kumar none was serious about elephant named "Hindu - fascism" being already in the room. Mani Shankar Aiyyar though spoke like an AAP volunteer highlighting the Adani-Ambani-Modi- corruption never really stood for the monopoly on the ideology he claims...why ?

Today BJP's strength in Lok Sabha has almost 300 MP's and 100 of them who jumped to BJP belonged to congress before the 2014 polls...Mani Shankar Aiyyar must answer is their any room left for consensus after the present composition of BJP under Modi ? My late friend VP Singh former prime minister of India always used to tell me Sohail bhai BJP and Congress are two side's of the same coin...easily convertible.

Why Mr.Mani Shankar Aiyyar did not mention the Umbilical cord "Israel" between Brahman parties ? Has their not been a consensus on hidden support from Israel and relations with Israel...? Why did he kept his silence on Israel ? Indian president is to leave on joint visit of Palestine and Israel...will he visit Gaza..where IDF jet's killed 1600 babies ? The PM of India Modi is too scheduled for a state Visit to Israel..will Mani come out with his "parties" stand ?

A participant belonging to the fringe brigade shouted at speakers for supporting the cause of minorities... yelling to see the threats posed by ISIS...he murmured Islam is a threat to humainity...the man it seems is a product of RSS's propaganda fed by the Modi governmnet, he then walked out.True ISIS must be exposed and ISIS is Israel...why is the media not exposing the links of Modi government with Israel-ISIS axis..? Untill the Islamophobia using ISIS is not exposed the innocent minds of Hindus get populated against Islam and Muslims..will this benefit BJP vote bank...no..this harm the National development more...letting the grip of corporate Zionist forces stronger on India and its economy...that is precisely the Modi governments target.

I hope Mr.Mani Shankar Aiyyar will at least use his expertise to expose them.I will also mention that in all sincerity Mr.Mani Shankar Aiyyar should ponder over the policies adopted by congress of treating Muslims as mere vote banks? He was shedding crocodile tears on the killing of a minority member on Eid day for allegedly eating beef? But where was he when Muzaffarnagr was being burnt..despite my reminder to his governments state home minister of invoking article 356 against UP government...the situation was allowed to go to worse..why ?

The Consensus is on since the implementation of Reforms by Narsimha Rao and Manmohan Singh since 1991 among the Brahman National parties. The Consensus is already their among the former, present ruler and future rulers of India ..on Islamophobia as weapon to rule. Consensus is between Modi and Mulayam ...between Lalloo and Modi between Owaisi and Sangh Parivar...between Sonia and Modi and between Maya and Modi and would continue...Until these alliances of the corporate political forces are not exposed before the masses, majority India and its progress would continue to suffer as the farmers, workers, poor, dalit and minorities are ignored...it is for this I fought last lok sabha elections as an idependent against Mr.Modi and Mr.Kejriwal from Varanasi...the corporate Islamophobia culture of bhai-bhai must be broken... desirability and feasibility and national consensus on this is the most important thing if we not want another partition and division of the country which the fascists have designed.

The meeting ended with a silent resolve of not letting the fringe fascist rulers to disturb the peaceful India which equally belongs to all.
